The charger is only part of the price. Here is what decides the total cost of an EV charging site in Hyderabad and South India.

Most people ask for the charger price first, but on a real site the total also includes cabling, panels, protection, earthing, civil works, approvals and commissioning. On some sites the electrical and civil work costs as much as the charger itself. A quote that shows only the charger price is not a project cost.
AC chargers for apartments, offices and depots where vehicles stay parked for hours cost far less to buy and install. DC fast chargers for highways, fuel stations and busy fleet sites cost much more, and they usually need a bigger power connection, heavier cabling and a proper foundation. Choose by how long vehicles stay, not by the biggest kW number.
If the site already has spare sanctioned load and space in the panel, the job is mostly installation. If it needs a load enhancement or a new connection from the DISCOM, there are application charges, possibly a transformer or HT works, and more time. This is why we always do a site survey and load study before giving a final price.
The distance from the main panel to the parking bay sets the cable length and trenching. Basement parking, finished flooring that must be restored, waterlogging, and fire access all add work. A charger 10 metres from the panel and one 120 metres away are two very different projects.
